Stage set for Robinvale / Euston 80

The Murray River will host another of Ski Racing Australia’s 2018/19 River Classics this weekend with the Robinvale / Euston 80km event.

Upwards of 250 boats and crews have been entered across more than 40 classes with racing set to kick off on Saturday morning at 8.30am with the 14 social classes.

On Saturday afternoon at 2pm the Robinvale Riverside Caravan Park Superclass Shootout will headline the action alongside the Top 40 Dash – Jai Welch Memorial and Junior Dash.

The superclass will feature three entrants – Superman (Darren McGuire, Brett Armstrong, Daniel Graziano, Daniel Cotton), record breaking Southern 80 winners TR (Ian Tricker, Nathan Miller, Reece Simmonds, Ray Ball) and Pigs Arsenal (Chris Stevens, Mark Boyer, Sean Stevens, Jack Stevens).

Last year Superman won the Shootout from Merc Force and Sapphire before the top two places were reversed in the Robinvale / Euston 80’s main event the following day.

In scoring a 19 second victory, the now disbanded Merc Force team of Don Gulley, Kevin Boylan, Jake Tegart and Kris Knights, smashed the race record by more than 17 seconds with a sizzling time of 26mins 21.029secs.
